Prenatal
When your baby is born, the amount of information you get in the hospital can feel like too much to handle. Attending a prenatal consultation with me can help you gain breastfeeding knowledge before your baby arrives. This session provides information that is tailored to you and your family, and can help you prepare for your baby’s nutritional needs in the first few hours and days.
Initial Check-In Consultation
During the first appointment, I’ll ask the mom questions about her health and the baby’s birth and feeding history. I’ll examine the mom’s breasts and nipples, check the baby’s mouth, and watch a feeding or pumping session to see if any help is needed. I will also work with the mom’s obstetrician and/or the baby’s pediatrician as needed.
Follow-Up & Beyond Infancy
These appointments are for clients who need ongoing support. While one visit can be very helpful, some issues require additional care. These appointments are also available for addressing new topics as they arise, such as returning to work, starting solid foods, pumping, and weaning.
